Why This Role Is Different

Most delivery lead roles are status decks and a Gantt chart with your name on it. This one is not.

You lead multiple concurrent engagements as the senior voice in the room, not a coordinator relaying messages between the client and a build team. You run discovery, set scope, and decide what gets built first and what gets cut. Custom agents handle the planning overhead, the status rollups, and the tracking that usually consumes a delivery lead's week, so your time goes to the work that requires judgment: framing the real business question, keeping the build honest, and moving the engagement toward an outcome the client's leadership will actually use.

What You'll Do

01

Own the Engagement

Lead multiple client engagements from first conversation to deployed infrastructure. You run the zero-friction model in practice: the client shows up and talks, Mammoth builds and deploys, and you are accountable for the pace and the result. On schedule and on budget are the floor, not the goal.

02

Lead in the Room

Serve as the senior consultant across executive and technical stakeholders. Run discovery and working sessions, translate a vague business question into a scoped analytics problem, and present progress to data leaders and the C-suite with clarity. When the client needs a straight answer, you give it and defend it.

03

Direct the Team and the Agents

Lead lean, full-stack teams of analytics engineers, data engineers, and AI specialists. Orchestrate the agentic workflows that run sprint planning, status, and roadmap tracking, so your people spend their time building instead of reporting on building. You hold the output to a standard most teams cannot reach manually.

04

Build the Right Thing First

Scope the engagement, sequence the roadmap, and cut the work that will not move the business. Drive the repeat cadence: build, deploy, adopt, next question. You surface risk early and resolve it before it becomes a delay.

05

Grow the Account and the Team

Communicate engagement health to account leadership, flag renewal risk before it appears, and identify where the work should expand. Coach and mentor the consultants around you. Every engagement adds to 52 weeks of compounding knowledge per year, and you make sure it does.

What You'll Need

  • Delivery track record: 5+ years in consulting or professional services delivering data analytics or AI work, with a history of engagements that shipped on time and on budget

  • Modern data stack fluency: working command of dbt, Snowflake or BigQuery, and analytics engineering practice, enough to lead the room, pressure-test estimates, and know when a plan is wrong

  • Team leadership: proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in an agile or Kanban model, driving alignment and accountability without babysitting

  • Executive communication: you translate technical work into business terms and present to data leaders and C-suite without losing the room

  • Roadmapping: demonstrated skill building and defending strategic roadmaps for data initiatives, including risk and mitigation

  • AI judgment: you direct agentic workflows in real delivery, write effective prompts, and understand where each leading model earns its place

  • Commercial instinct: you protect the client relationship while driving measurable outcomes, and you can see renewal and expansion before they are on the table
